A Few Quick Vinyl Projects

Hey there bloggers! Hope you're all having a great Tuesday!! We're having a bit of a sleepy morning around here - getting up at 5 am usually does that! Hopefully after lunch & naptime - we'll all be a bit more productive around here! :-) Last night was a quiet night at our house & I was able to get some sewing done (recovering pillows for the office, I'll share more later!) and a few quick vinyl projects! I have photos to share!

First is this quick & easy  metallic memo board for Logan's room. I bought the 12x12 frame awhile back to use & the glass broke when it fell of the wall. Opps! I put it up & when I saw the precut 12x12 tin sheets at the craft store - I knew I had my solution! I picked one up last week & popped it into the frame but it was missing something. I used my Disney Cars cartridge & cut out the Piston Cup image. I had originally envisioned more of an "outline" of this - but after applying this - I'm really happy! It's just the touch of Cars that ties it into his room! :-) (It's amazing how against a character room I was but how happy am with it now that it's together & he loves it!) (Yes, I know the picture is crooked with a glare -  I snuck in his room last night with a dying camera battery & this is the result. Could I fix it, yes. Am I going to, no. Much too tired today!)

My second two quick projects - another geobin & glass bottle! Logan's Geotrax are quickly taking over his whole room & while I was keeping the trees, signs, boulders & other pieces in the "people" bin - it wasn't working too well for us! So another quick bin & some white letters - "things" works! :-)

 My bottle is a quick project that I can't wait to add too! This is for sand - I just need to fill it & maybe rearrange the letters. I think I want more of a slant to these! It was inspired by this post! With all the traveling we do for Kevin's career - plus for fun, I decided I wanted to def display these in my beach inspired bathroom at the very least! From the sounds of it - we're heading to Maui next weekend with Kevin's parents so I guess I need another bottle ;-) I'll share more once I have them filled!!

I'm off to watch last night's Castle & then have lunch & get some sewing done! I'll check back in with you all soon!!!

* Fun Felt Foods *

Hi Bloggers! Sorry I only got the one post in last week but I was a bit under the weather & didn't get much crafting done. (Or anything else for that matter!) My in laws are coming in next week so I've got to get cracking this week to have everything done I want to before they get here! Now get ready for a picture heavy  post!

I did get a few things accomplished this week- a GIANT head start on Christmas this year. I have to get things done super early since we should be moving around that time too. This first set of felt food is for my youngest niece! She'll be just turning two next year so everything is little lady safe! :-) The group picture shows a jar of mints for size :-) The sweets are on a coffee mug saucer!

 First up donuts - I may make more of these. What do you think? Should donuts be sold in 1/2 dozens?? I used this tutorial at Skip to my Lou for mine & it was super easy!

Sugar Cookies - two different sizes, some with pink icing & some with pink sprinkles! Can you tell I'm loving doing things for a girl!?! These are my own design - I freehanded the icing & the circles are wine glasses that I traced around.  

Lemon & Orange slice - these will have some tea bags to go with them & they will probably multiply as well. I used Lisa Honey's tutorial which you can find here.  

Last but not least - swiss cake rolls! YUM! If only I could find them in Hawaii! These were also found at Skip to my Lou. 

Logan & his best bud are loving their little kitchens as well - but no felt food for them, at least not yet! I couldn't leave them out, so I made them each up a set of pot holders!!

And a few photos just for fun (they are blurry! I know & I'm sorry!) - two little snug bugs in those cozy hooded towels I've been sewing up! I did another this weekend for Logan's best bud! It turned out so cute! I sent it home with him but I'll see if I can get a pic!

A totally fun self photo of Logan - I love him & his love of photography! It makes my heart smile!! 

That's it for me tonight - it's only 7:00pm so I may go off & work on a few vinyl projects I need to do or maybe recover some pillows for my spare room....hmmm - or snuggle with which ever of my boys are willing! Have a great Monday!!

Hello February!

Hello February. I can't believe you're here already. Where did January go?!?!? I can't believe how fast time goes when you're busy busy! Last month went really well for me & I'm hoping this month too. We have visitors in for a week (the inlaws) this month, so I'll be scaling my goals back a bit. I'm so glad I was able to accomplish them (plus some!) last month & am hoping to do so again! Here they are for now: I'm pretty sure I'll be adding to these & will let you know if I do!

January Goals - DONE!

Hey there bloggers! I hope you all have had a great weekend! I know I sure did!! Hubbs worked but Little guy & I were busy busy! We went to see the Lt. Dan band on Base Friday night, shopped Saturday & some more on Sunday with a girlfriend- cleaned a little in between - and then had a fun "Royal Rumble" get together with friends today! I also managed to sew up 4 hooded towels too! Two for a new baby gift, two more for Logan ;-)

I am SO pleased to say that I finished up my January Personal Challenge goals!! I have a few photos to share to show them all, so here we go!

Thank You cards - the photos were before Logan "signed" his name to them in green pen :-) On their way to the nice people who sent him gifts! (Better a little late than never!)

 My very last Christmas layout for Logan's album this year!! I had a blast doing them but am GLAD to be done! I only have 2 layouts from January to finish up his album - woohoo!!! Those are on next months goals!

My first USMC layout of 2010 - This is last years ball and I didn't have a ton of pictures, so it was a quick & easy layout to put together. Another big woohooo!

And that's it!! Done! I'm so pleased! I actually GOT soooooooooooooo much accomplished this month - on top of my scrapping goals, I completed 2 car cozies, a gift bag with card, a random card, 5 hooded towels....and I managed to have a social life too!! Talk about a good start to the year!! Okay, it's late - I'm sleepy! Off to bed! Check back tomorrow to see what I've got planned to work on in February!

~ Santa Got Me Geotrax ~

Hey there bloggers!! I hope you're having a wonderful Friday! It's a work weekend for us, so I've been tackling housework & laundry before heading to the Lt. Dan Band concert tonight with a friend & our kiddos! Yesterday my boys & I enjoyed a day out & about getting a few things taken care of & having a FUN dinner at a Japanese Hibachi steakhouse. Yum! Never fear tho - I did get my layout done! I have one to share now - this is Wednesdays & will post yesterdays this afternoon! I haven't taken pictures yet & lunch is waiting for me :-)

Here's my next to last layout for Logan's Christmas pages. It's mostly done but I may pick up some puffy embellishments that go with the paper line. Logan picked out the paper so the layout is even more special to me! I have TONS of pictures of Logan playing with his favorite gift this year - his Geotrax train set. He was so suprised & kept saying "Santa got me Geotrax" so I just had to document the moment!!

Don't mind the last picture - it's a little blurry! Let's just be glad I got one!! Off to eat lunch, tend to laundry & squeeze in some scraptime!!!

~ Christmas Morning 2009 ~

Hey there bloggers! Hope you're all having a wonderful Wednesday!! I'm a bit sleepy again but having been trying to truck along. Logan & I made banana nut muffins for breakfast, I have dinner in the crock pot & Logan's down for his nap! I just took my photos that I promised to you & once I have these posted, it's off to my studio to work on today's layout. I really may finish my goals this month! YAY!

Here's my layout for Christmas morning this year. It took quite a bit of tinkering but I'm really happy with the final result. There's a hidden journaling tag behind the photo of the tree with my journaling. I forgot to get a picture of the two pages together - so just imagine ;-)

I also wanted to include an updated photo of my Cookies for Santa layout, I like it much better this way! Thanks Jenny!

I'm off to start scrapping for the day! Hopefully my mojo is ready even though my brain is still in bed today ;-)

Logan's Car Cozy

Hi bloggers! Here's an update for the rest of my day: I added to my Cookies for Santa page & am liking it MUCH better now. I also finished a two page layout for Logan's album - so I got my page for the day done! I tried taking photos to share tonight but they came out blurry, massive glare & just plain awful. I will retake them in the morning & share then! Till then - you get my late Car Cozy post. I'm still not sure what happened to when it was originally supposed to post but better late than never!!

So did you guess right?! Logan of course, needed a Disney Pixar Cars cozy! I love it & so does he!!

These cozies are so fun & are an easy project. If you couldn't tell from the pictures, Logan's is already well loved! He plays with it all the time!!!

I'm off to have a quiet night to myself! I have some new magazines to read, so I may take a bubbly bath ;-) Don't forget to check in tomorrow to see my "after" layout & my new layout!!
